Single Cover: The Last Judgment

For this project, I was tasked with creating the cover art for the single release of Juízo Final by Comanche Groove Band, a powerful new version of the iconic Brazilian song by Nelson Cavaquinho. The track speaks of hope, even in the face of despair, making it a beautiful juxtaposition of light and darkness.

To capture the song’s profound themes, I researched and incorporated images from classic paintings depicting the final judgment. These timeless artworks were key in conveying the idea of judgment and redemption. By blending these historical references with bold, contemporary design elements, I aimed to create a dynamic visual narrative that echoes the emotional complexity of the music.

The final result is a layered composition, featuring symbolic representations of both good and evil, hope and destruction, mirroring the transformative journey expressed in the lyrics. The vibrant colors and textures offer a glimmer of optimism, aligning with the song’s hopeful message while still embracing its intense, apocalyptic undertones.
